Bakgrunn

AI foundation models are enabling new paradigms for remote environmental monitoring, including real-time satellite image analysis and Earth-search interfaces. We will talk through some recent technical developments and discuss efforts to report on land grabbing, illicit logging, and mining and the serious threats they pose to forest ecosystems and nearby communities.
